Each person carries a piece of his or her family and background. For an actor, where emotion and sincerity are central, this is especially important. My story begins in Columbiana, where I was born.
My family has been a source of inspiration since I was a child. My parents taught me the value of hard work, to believe in my own strength and not to be afraid to be myself. This became the foundation of my character and helped me build a career in an industry as challenging as filmmaking.
Every family member has influenced my path. My mother was an artist who exposed me to the art world; my father inspired me with his life stories. Family traditions became the foundation on which my personality was built.
Growing up, our lives were full. These moments taught me to see the beauty in each day, and also laid the foundation for my drive to tell stories – first on stage and then on screen.
I always remember my childhood with warmth and gratitude. Those were the years when dreams seemed limitless and the support of loved ones gave me the confidence that anything was possible. My family remains my support to this day, and the values they passed on to me I try to embody in every project I undertake.
